The Museums, Libraries and Archives Council (MLA) have chosen to work with Codehouse and TAK! to upgrade their online presence with a new design and added features. The website will still be powered by the world leading Web Content Management System, Sitecore CMS.

The MLA is the official institution to promote best practices in museums, libraries and archives in the UK, working to inspire innovative, integrated and sustainable services. Codehouse have been chosen to be responsible for the further development of the website so providing the MLA with a refreshed and user friendly, as well as technically up-to-date, website complying with all of today’s web standards and best practices. The new design will be the work of the talented Birmingham-based studio TAK! Design with Codehouse providing the Sitecore knowhow.

We, at Codehouse, are looking forward to helping the MLA take the next bold steps with their online presence.

About the MLA

Leading strategically, the MLA promotes best practice in museums, libraries and archives, to inspire innovative, integrated and sustainable services for all.

MLA is a Non-Departmental Public Body (NDPB), sponsored by the Department for Culture, Media and Sport (DCMS). Launched in April 2000 as the strategic body working with and for the museums, archives and libraries sector, tapping into the potential for collaboration between them, MLA replaced the Museums and Galleries Commission (MGC) and the Library and Information Commission (LIC).
