When Treasury Today approached Codehouse they wished to replace their existing website, which had some years under its belt, with something new and contemporary. Today, Treasury Today is a leading provider of treasury information and, in addition to providing high quality journalism through a monthly publication, the subscribers now get more bang for the buck with a wealth of online features available when clicking into treasurytoday.com.
Execution.
Together with Codehouse, Treasury Today decided how to provide visitors with the best service with a goal to expand their position as a leading provider of treasury information.
It was decided to put emphasis on user-involvement by giving visitors increased control over the content. This approach was supplemented with an array of features for sharing knowledge and thoughts, integrating social media and the ability to interact with other treasurers.
The design needed a facelift to make the experience of the website more contemporary, enticing and clear. At the end of the day Codehouse and Treasury Today were able to boil down the essence of the new website to include a few key phrases: user-involvement, personalisation and relevance. Codehouse has undertaken every aspect of Treasury Today’s new website. Design, development and implementation has been done by Codehouse which has eased the process for Treasury Today who only had to communicate with one supplier.
Through an agile approach all project tasks were broken down into smaller parts thus allowing for them to be solved in shorter iterations. Project workers constantly kept each other up-to-date with the current status and the expectations were constantly matched. This approach (also known as Agile Software Development or Scrum) ensures a constant flow and progress in the project and at the same time it’s flexible in the sense that any changes to the specifications are easily implemented into the process.
The new website is built on Sitecore CMS which delivers an intuitive user interface for Treasury Today’s web editors. The Sitecore CMS has been integrated with Microsoft Dynamics CRM and enhanced with a forms module and a quick poll module enabling interaction and dialogue between the visitors.
As the finishing touch a login to a subscriber section is created where subscribers can access their own dashboard. From here, they can download handbooks, attend discussion forums and keep track of all their actions. Additionally, they can email other subscribers internally in the system, can create and apply for relevant jobs, gather interesting articles into project folders and can create their own PDF magazine from the articles of their choice.
Result.

- With the ability to create personalised PDF magazines containing only the relevant articles, subscribers will be the co-producer or co-author of content.
- The new job forum enables subscribers to create job ads in the financial sector. Through Treasury Today the job ads are displayed to the target audience consisting of the more than 60,000 readers.
- The integration with Microsoft Dynamics CRM 4.0 makes it possible for Treasury Today to gather and manage all user data in the CRM instead of in Sitecore thus making management of subscribers and customer relations easy and clear.
