Google Analytics plug-in for Umbraco a winner

True to our name, a Codehouse developer won "Best Package" at the Umbraco CodeGarden 2009 conference in Copenhagen last week. The winner was Morten Christensen with his plug-in for  Google Analytics for Umbraco .

At the Umbraco CodeGarden conference Morten Christensen, a Codehouse .NET developer, won the prize for the best Umbraco add-on package. Morten's contribution was a plug-in that integrates Google Analytics into Umbraco's user interface (UI) making it possible for the website's authors and administrators to analyse site traffic from directly within Umbraco.

The competition included an international field of Umbraco developers and their proposals ranged from Locator plug-ins to Spamfilter plug-ins to the actual winner, the Google Analytics plug-in. The competition winner was decided internally amongst the 170 participants and the prize handed over by Per Ploug Hansen from Umbraco.

Google Analytics for Umbraco is currently in beta test but, once all has been tested and re-tested, the code will (in the spirit of open source) be released on Morten's blog. However, Codehouse, as an Umbraco Partner, would love to discuss any upcoming projects you may need help with.
