Sitecore's Email Campaign Manager enables you to track and maintain your organisation's online communications from your Sitecore CMS. You can engage with your ‘target markets’ (subscribers) with relevant email communications whilst measuring the full cycle of your visitor's user journey from email through to your Sitecore website.
Now you can enjoy even more features with ECM version 2.0, which, like previous versions of ECM, integrates with Sitecore's Digital Marketing System (DMS), giving you the continued ability to use your website's visitor profiles to customise the user experience to every single visitor based on their previous visits or first actions.
Intuitive interface
An intuitive interface allows you to easily manage emails using a tabbed 'step-by-step' menu. This user interface has the added functionality of a “Message Info” section and an “Overview” section so that you can view all the components and reporting tools required to efficiently build and analyse your email communications.
Improved flexibility for campaign creation
Previous versions of Email Campaign Manager allowed users to create and define a target audience prior to building and sending the email communication. Now, with added campaign creation flexibility you can create a message first and then build a recipient list. The types of messages you can create are: a One Time Message (a single message dispatched for a specific purpose), a Subscription Message (to subscribers) and a Triggered Message (sent to a single person at a time when triggered by a specific event).
Enhanced analytics
Sitecore's enhanced Executive Insight Dashboard Chart reveals even more valuable information than before. Information such as click through rates, where your recipients have clicked, what they are downloading, how long they stay on each page, and which landing pages perform the best, can be easily accessed. For every email transmission a detailed report is generated in the Executive Insight Dashboard Chart, which includes a “Recipients Funnel”, which displays how many recipients are in different states of a particular engagement plan. This precise information enables marketers to make informed and calculated business critical decisions before serving recipients with relevant and engaging personalised content based on analytical data, as well as on profiles, personas and user journeys.
A/B/N testing
When it comes to determining which email variation works best, ECM now supports A/B/N testing. This allows you to test any part of your email message from subject line and body text to ALT tags, with the added benefit of ECM selecting the winning email variant based on pre-defined conditions, or, you can select the winning message yourself.
Sitecore Design Importer compatibility
ECM now supports the Sitecore Design Importer Module meaning that those who have the module installed into their Sitecore solution can easily import a design from a webpage directly into ECM, from where, even non-technical users can edit images and links, as well as creating editable areas. This functionality not only makes the creation of landing pages and campaign microsites less challenging, it also saves time in multivariant testing.
Together with Sitecore CMS and Sitecore DMS the Sitecore Email Campaign Manager constitutes the perfect trinity for a sales/marketing driven website. And by integrating ECM with your CRM system, your sales team will have the ability to nurture leads with relevant and targeted email campaigns, increasing the likelihood of yielding positive ROI.
