The Codehouse Salesforce Web Forms for Marketers Connector Module uses the Salesforce SOAP API.
Our connector module queries Salesforce so that the 'Objects' are pulled direct from Salesforce. So instead of adding a Web-to-Lead Salesforce form to your website so that data is captured in the Salesforce 'Lead' object, our Salesforce Web Forms for Marketers Connector Module is a simple save action that is applied to a Web Forms for Marketers form in Sitecore. The wizard, which picks up the available fields on the selected Salesforce object through the API, guides you through a simple field mapping process where you can map fields from your Web Forms for Marketers form to fields in your Salesforce CRM.
The API works in a way that uses a specific configured Salesforce account. This allows security permissions to be set in order to control what your website is able to create, read or update in Salesforce. For example, you can configure your Salesforce account used by your website so that there is no access to read particularly sensitive fields. The Codehouse Salesforce Web Forms for Marketers Connector Module also supports linking new records to assignment rules.
Once installed, configuring the Codehouse Salesforce Save Action Module for Sitecore CMS takes five easy steps:
1. Add new save action to your Web Forms for Marketers form
2. Choose Salesforce object
3. Map fields to Salesforce fields
4. Map custom fields to Salesforce fields
5. Mapping confirmation
