What is the SPE module?

Referred to as a Sitecore development accelerator, the Sitecore PowerShell Extensions module uses the Windows PowerShell framework to increase productivity by making it easier to perform automated tasks in Sitecore. The SPE toolbox caters for report running, session management and more. It also has a variety of out-of-the-box add-on tools which range from content reporting, package generation and licensing information, to task management and random desktop backgrounds.
