What this means

This means that support elements that were once free of charge, namely assistance with errors or unexpected behaviour during installation or development, or addressing product defects as hotfixes or patches, will cost money after this date. And compatibility fixes for supported technology platforms will not be available at all.

Sitecore versions can reach the end of their lifecycle for any number of reasons – due to market demand, technology innovations that drive changes in the product, or functionality that was once ground-breaking becoming more obsolete over time.

Mainstream support for Sitecore 6 and Sitecore 7 versions ended quite some time ago, so if your Sitecore website is on one of those versions, then you definitely need to consider upgrading.

Benefits of upgrading to Sitecore 9

The benefits of upgrading to Sitecore 9 are numerous, from centralising all your customer data from all sources and driving real-time personalisation at scale, to being able to integrate with nearly any system or software using Sitecore xConnect and flexible hosting and stack options, including Microsoft Azure PaaS.

No longer having mainstream support from Sitecore is a big reason to consider an upgrade.

We offer 24/7 support for all our customers, whatever version of Sitecore they may be on. This round the clock support is global, 365 days a year – and one of the reasons many brands trust us for ongoing help with their Sitecore website.
