Sitecore 9.2 is refined and slick

Following feedback from user groups, Sitecore has refined the latest version by improving the performance and stability, and by introducing some new goodies that will surely excite marketers.

Some of the key features introduced in version 9.0 and 9.1 include:

  • Sitecore Cortex
  • Sitecore Experience Accelerator (SXA)
  • Sitecore JavaScript Services (JSS)
  • Sitecore Host
  • Sitecore xConnect
  • Horizon UI
  • Improved marketing automation
  • New Forms interface

What’s new in Sitecore 9.2?

The stand-out feature in Sitecore 9.2 from a marketing perspective, is the Active Personalisation Report. This visual tool, presented in a dashboard, allows marketers to see all active personalisation experiences, such as:

  • Pages with personalised components
  • Number of personalised experiences on pages
  • Number of visits on personalised pages
  • Goal conversions on personalised pages
  • and much more…

Sitecore’s roll-out of Sitecore Content Hub, a single, integrated solution that allows marketers to manage every aspect of marketing content for all channels from one place, has been fully integrated into Sitecore 9.2.

Managing data and PII in Sitecore 9.2 has become easier

We all know about GDPR. Sitecore recognised the data protection requirements of website visitors by adding the anonymisation feature to later versions of Sitecore 8.

This feature is now enhanced in version 9.2, making it easier for marketers to anonymise / delete a contact from the Experience Profile, thus removing any Personal Identifiable Information (PII) should a visitor request it.

Data is everywhere. It’s a marketer’s dream that can easily become a nightmare, when it comes to sifting through piles of the stuff, attempting to cleanse a bloated system.

Sitecore 9.2 takes care of unwanted data, by giving more control over how data is managed. This is achieved by APIs that can delete or purge excessive data from the platform.

Sitecore 9.2 also includes enhancements to analytics, Sitecore Host, and to the installation process. It also has an updated version of SXA (version 1.9) with multi-site capabilities, as well as notable improvements to JSS, which is now compatible with Sitecore Forms.
