Testing your web content is important. It's a great way to see whether pages and components within pages achieve what you expect them to. Testing also gives you the reassurance that your content is engaging enough to increase conversions and maximise growth.

How does testing work?

Testing works by randomly displaying different versions of content to visitors. There are two types of tests and both are available in Sitecore XP:

  • A/B testing compares only one variable within a page (there may be more than two variations)
  • Multivariate testing (MV) compares two or more variables on the same page
By testing page versions, components (elements of pages) and personalisation rules assigned to pages you'll gain a better understanding of visitor behaviour. From this knowledge, you can hone your digital strategy to maximise visitor engagement.

Targeting is key

Test significant areas of your Sitecore website. Look at your analytics. Target pages with high volumes of traffic, low engagement value and high bounce rates. Review your Sitecore content and then run tests on those pages.

With over a decade of Sitecore expertise, we’ve guided many customers to achieving their digital potential through the power of testing. We can do the same for you.
