Mid-Senior UX/UI Designer

We’re looking for a passionate and established UX/UI Designer to join the team in our London office. You will create purposeful and innovative digital products that exceed the expectations of our customers and their users.

The role requires an individual who has a keen eye for design, meticulous attention to detail and has a passion for problem-solving. You'll work on a broad spectrum of design specialisms with deliverables related to User Experience Design, User Interface Design, Prototyping and User Interface based Motion Design. This is a satisfyingly challenging role, providing exposure to a wide range of international customers across sectors including retail, financial services, B2B, travel, education, and many more.

Codehouse is a leading digital agency specialising in Experience Design and Development of enterprise level public-facing web platforms, bespoke back-office applications, as well as being an industry-leading provider of consultancy services for digital strategy, digital marketing, and operational support. In conjunction with our sister brand, HOUSE, we provide customers with a full end-to-end product development experience, including strategy and vision, user research, user experience and user interface design, amongst others.

 

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Consume complex business and user goals/requirements, to create considered web solutions through UX research and the design ideation processes.
  • Producing UX artefacts/deliverables, including but not exclusive to user journey maps, personas, wireframes, and prototypes.
  • Delivery of exceptional, pixel-perfect designs for web interfaces across key viewports, utilising contemporary UX and UI practices/theories.
  • Bringing user interfaces to life through low and high-fidelity prototypes for stakeholder buy-in, user testing and development handover.
  • Participating in and supporting customer workshops.
  • Delivering presentations to project stakeholders and customers, articulating UX/UI design thinking for deliverables.
  • Support in-house branding artefact/asset creation and maintenance.

Skills or experience required:

  • Accurate interpretation of high-level business and user goals from customer brief, for translation into UX and creative outcomes.
  • Experience in UX and UI specialist software, such as Axure, Figma, Sketch, and Adobe Creative Cloud Suite, specifically Photoshop and Illustrator.
  • Familiarity with motion principles and prototyping tools such as Principle and/or After Effects.
  • Understanding of front-end web implementation methods for the creation of considered and implementable design solutions. (Ability to use and implement front-end web technologies is a bonus).
  • Experience implementing and/or working with design systems.
  • Confident in delivering presentations and articulating UX/UI design thinking.
  • Dynamic problem-solving ability and taking ownership of deliverables.
  • Work collaboratively in multi-disciplinary teams.

To be considered for this position you must:

  • Have a minimum of 3 years of experience working in UX/UI design, specifically for web experiences.
  • Have demonstrable digital/web design experience, e.g. an online portfolio.
  • Be passionate about design with a willingness to adapt to the growing maturity and shifts in the industry.
  • Be up to date with the latest design, interaction, and technology trends, primarily in the digital sector.
  • Be comfortable with direct customer communication, and able to engage with all levels of stakeholders across organisations.
  • Be a confident communicator, with fluent written and spoken English.
  • Have current and valid eligibility to work in the UK.
